Enjoying One Spirit with the Lord in My SpiritI meet with the local church in Atlanta. By the Lord's special mercy, I have been very open to God since I was young. When I was in the sixth grade, I started meeting with the Catholic church. I wanted to know more about God and to contact Him in a more intimate way, but I could not be satisfied at all and I just felt so frustrated and thirsty.
But praise God that He does not let His seekers remain in vanity. Through God's arrangement and leading, I met the local church in Seoul in 1972. I began to know something of spiritual reality, the kingdom of God, and the inner life through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee.
The most shocking fact among those things was the human spirit. Proverbs says, ``The spirit of man is the lamp of Jehovah, searching all the innermost parts of the inner being,'' and Zechariah 12:1b says, ``Thus declares Jehovah who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him.'' God created a proper faculty in the depths of each human being. God has put something that corresponds with Him into man. I realized that He made me with the capacity to touch Him, receive Him, enjoy Him, and express Him
God is Spirit. Because He is now the Spirit, I can contact Him in my spirit and enjoy Him. Also, he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit (1Corinthians 6:17). I can enjoy His person in this one spirit and understand His heavenly thought and love Him and praise Him. In my spirit He continually leads me and supplies me so that I can live out a proper Christian life. He also causes me to grow in life and to be built up with other believers (Ephesians 4:12-16).
I want to be trained more for the Lord's coming back, for God's kingdom, and for the benefit of His work. I'm willing to be open and given to Him. ``Lord, grant me a willing spirit, preserve me, and cause me to live toward You and testify You.'' I thank the Lord that I can receive the definite clear words of truth through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Yang Jin Jung | Back to List |
